Hi-I just wanted everyone to be aware of this company. I was not aware that payday loans were prohibited in NC. I contacted the state attorney general's office and they stepped in and sent a cease and desist letter to them (they are out of Miami, Fla). Cash Advance Now turned me over to their collection agency, the Law Offices of Capital Collections Corp and a lunatic, claiming to be an attorney named Roger Alvarez called me 25 times at work and told me that he was going to get me fired. He faxed a phony arrest warrant to my employer, threatened me-it was incredible. I've spent the past week filing complaints with the Florida Bar Association, the Florida Attorney General, the Florida Department of Business Regulation. I even filed an incident report with my local police department over the phone harrassment. The State Attorney General in NC has told me not to pay the loan and that the arrest warrant was a fraud. Mr. Alvarez told me that he will be laughing when I am taken out of court in handcuffs to jail while my kids cried. He would only call me at work, even after I wrote letters requesting that he not call me at work and told me that he is going to follow me to every job I have and get me fired and laugh. One of the agencies I filed a complaint with must have gotten to him today because I've received no calls at work. I also filed a complaint with the FTC. Lesson learned! Please don't borrow from this company.
