I know, UCL is completely illegal in every state. But, morally/ethically, I still want to pay back the remaing principal of $190. They, of course, claimed that I owe much more than that. As many of you know, they are extremely difficult to deal with, and that's a gross understatement.
I was with T & C, but stopped to take care of some other matters, and recently tried to re-sign up with them. Now, apparently they don't take clients in certain states, Oregon being one of them. So, I'm now on my own, and this PDL is about 2 years old.
When I call them, they always refer me to their "compliance department" (what a joke). They give a fax #, but no phone #. I've emailed them, and get no response. I have their address, but I don't know if they would even cash a money order if I sent it to them, and I don't want to waste the money if they are jsut going to refuse it. I think they mentioned to me in our previous conversations that they won't take money orders. I will not give them access to my checking account, for obvious reasons.
Can anyone tell me if they will accept a money order? I've heard stories of money orders being mailed to them, and then never being cashed.
Cash & Go/First Cash Financial, I owe $404 in remaining principal, and they are legal. First Cash said they sold the loan to "MLA Holdings" and gave me a phone number. No one answers or returns messages. When I google "MLA Holdings", it's a forklift sales company. WTF?? First Cash said they have no other information - just the name and phone. No address.
Has anyone dealt with MLA Holdings?
I just want to resolve these last two PDL's and be done with that part of my life forever. I have been buried in PDL's for over ten years, and the end is finally in sight.

There is no listing for MLA Holdings at the BBB site and I haven't personally heard of them but keep checking back for more replies.

As for Cash and Go, I owe $315.00 and it is just about a year old. I have been getting calls from "National Check Restitution Services" saying I owe Cash and Go $550.00. I called cash and go and they are saying my account is still with them, but may have been potentially sold. WTH?! How do you not know whether an account has been sold? Shouldn't it automatically say if it was or not? Then the rep at Cash n' Go said maybe the system has not been updated. Okay, I called "NCRS" and asked for validation of debt, they said the original docs would be sent within 4-6 weeks, but then the rep at Cash n' Go said they will never send original docs. Geez, I don't know what to do! Who do I believe?

Have you ever received and letter of collection from either party?
Call the corporate office and ask them to email or mail you any documentation pertaining to this debt, tell them you are planning to take care of it but need the documents in hand first.
