Just curious as to people who have dealt with these clowns have paid them back. This is my only nightmare I am trying to rid in my life. Would love to hear!! Thanks

I didn't have to close my account. I just put a stop pay on it and they didn't try to draft from my account any more. I had to send my payments via Money Gram. I think the bank will keep a stop pay on an account for 6 to 12 months.

They are not nice people to work with. The first time I got behind before the settlement offer they called all the time and left extremely rude messages and were very rude to me.

why is this in the pdl forum when cash call is not a pdl?they can and will sue,so i would try to work something out with them.they are a joke, but they are not a pdl.which means you must keep in touch with them and work something out.

We're truly in a sad state of affairs when a person has to consider taking money out of their retirement fund to pay off what equates to a LEGAL, glorified payday loan - although with much higher stakes.

Paul is right - CashCall is NOT a PDL, and cannot be treated as such, but in my mind, they're just a glorified PDL, considering the outrageous interest rates they charge and the tactics they use to collect.

Please reconsider taking money out of your 401(k) to pay this off - your 401(k) is all that stands between you and being very poor during retirement. It will take a long time for your 401(k) to recover from the hit.

Will just not pay rent to achieve this goal. (my husband will pay my half). Thought about it long and hard...only way out.

My goodness that is extreme :( You will pay CC and then be out on the street.

IMO, it is not worth it. They can wait, your family and well being comes first. I agree with Shazzers and SueBeeHoney, please reconsider your choices made. :?

I will not be out on the street. My husband and I pay half of everything. (too many people in our lives fight about money and we refuse to. 50/50) He will pay the full rent in May and I'll pay it back by paying the full rent in June. My well-being will be taken care of when I am 'dead' to cashcall. I have to rid them.
I realize the 401k loan is extreme. My employment is more than secure and I am young and will have it paid off in 7 months. In my heart, this feels like the right thing to do.
