After closing my account,I emailed Cash Central stating I know that they are licensed in Delaware and do not need a license in LA, however, "whenever an action is brought in this state to enforce rights arising from consumer credit transactions wherever made the creditor shall, where applicable, reduce the charges". (LA Consumer Credit Law)

I have already paid $292.50 on a $300 loan and I offered to pay them $52.50, which would cover the remaining principal and the fees they would get if they tried to enforce the contract, $45.

They emailed back saying that I misunderstood the LA state law and the loan is valid and enforceable under Delaware law. They stated that I still owed them $375 and that they will report me to one of the credit bureaus.

I don't know how to respond. The Deputy Chief of LA OFI was the one who emailed me ,the LA law, that yes you can enter in to a contract but if they bring action to enforce they have to reduce charges.

Is reporting to a credit bureau considered an action? I don't know how to respond back to their email.

P.S. I also sent similiar emails to both OneClickCash and MyNextPayCheck. Almost immediately one of them tried to debit my account and I received an email from nacha.org saying it did not go through?? I have not heard back from these two though.

that is the typical reponse from illegals.your state law prevails and they know it.they try to buffalo people.treat everything they email,or say on the phone as a lie, because that is what it is.as for oneclick, and mynextpaycheck.oneclick is MTE and don't know about the other's base but they are both totally illegal.so treat them the same way.everything they say or email will be a lie meant to sway you.don't buy it.btw an illegal lender can't legally report on your CR,and if they do you can easily dispute it off.
