I cannot say for sure in New Mexico. If you are patient, someone will answer and I am sure they will know. I know that they are not legal in Illinois, but you can check with your state Attorney General Office. They can for sure tell you.

Check at the link below, if they aren't listed, they aren't legal:

Hi-
They were not listed as legal in my state (MN). I had paid them over $1250 and still owed over $600 (we borrowed $475). After investigating here and other sources, I wrote them a letter via email and filed complaints with the BBB, FTC, and attorney general. I demanded a full refund.
I went to my bank and disputed the past 90 days of payments to them, then after I received about $600 back, I closed my account. I don't feel guilty one bit. They still got more than they deserved. $475 + a good amount of interest.
They wrote me a letter stating that they don't have to follow MN law because they are in Belize; however, they would consider the account paid in full. Interestingly, Minnesota law indicates that it does not matter where the business is located, they must follow MN law. No matter, got my letter and most of what I overpaid back.

Thanks everybody. I wrote them the email using the template on this site. The next day, I tried to sign on to my account that I have with them and it said "please call us regarding your account status". I am not going to call them, I requested in my email that all correspondence be done in writing. I'll keep you posted.

All you are obligated to pay them is the principal amount you borrowed, less any interest, payments and fees.
