My daughter took out a loan with Cashnet a while ago. She and her husband got laid off. The payment to Cashnet bounced. She assumed they would redeposit and soon lost track of it. She never heard from them again. She just started a new job and today a lawyer called her and said they are suing her for fraud. They said she knew when she took out the loan that she was not going to repay it. Now they want all the money right now or they are going to go to court and she will have to pay the court costs too. Is Cashnet legal in Texas and can they legally do this even if they made no contact before now to try to get her to make the payments?

Should she ask him for documentation of this debt and see if he will send it? If she truly owes this money, she wants to pay it back. She admits that she probably still owes Cashnet money, but shouldn't she ask them directly how much she owes and see if she can work it out with them? This could be just a scam, but my daughter is scared and wants to pay her debts if they are legitimate.

you said cashnet right?cashnet usa is legal however there are a couple of places calling themselves cashnet that are not legal.i doubt cashnet usa would break the law in threatening fraud which is illegal.was this cashnet usa,or just cashnet?very important.
