ARM and Cashnet USA

I thought I settled with Cashnet USA in Feb 2009 with a company that continously harrassed me at both my home and work. It was a Mr. White from ARM??? I settled for $550 on a $300 loan. Now, I am being harrassed by a Mr. William Turner representing Cashnet USA stating that I still owe for the outstanding loan. I admit I was stupid and never received a debt verification from Mr. White at ARM - Asset Recover Management in Jacksonville Florida. However, because he continously called my place of employment, I finally gave him my credit card information to settle the debt with Cashnet USA. Now Mr. Turner is threatening me with check fraud, etc. Any suggestions?

Do you have the credit card statement and the settlement agreement which will prove that you have made the payment to ARM? If you have the proof, you can send them to your creditor. However, if the creditor does not agree with the fact that they have sold the debt to ARM, you can file a complaint with the FTC online against ARM.
