I took a loan out in Feb. 2010 lost my job and had to close my bank account out to it would not be negative and so I would not owe the bank any money. The company Cashnet usa is now calling me inregards to this unpaid debt. Is there any laws about how long they can still collect on a debt?

The payday lender can come after you for the debts. You should check out the SOL as per your state laws in order to find out whether or not they can take any legal actions against you. If the SOL is over, then they won't be able to take any legal actions against you. But they can call you for the payments. Moreover, if the payday loan company is not legal in your state, then you will be liable for paying only the principal balance.
