I was wondering about cashnetusa and how to handle them. I had borrowed 1050 which I just defaulted on. I have paid over 600$ in fees. They have my balance as being 1500+. This of course includes 2 rounds of interest and the loan amount. I live in Maryland. Is there a way to handle an amount settlement? Are they legal? They also sent me an email stated I had 15 days to make arrangemnts with them or they were sending me to third party collections.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

If its an illegal lender you only have to pay back the amount you borrowered. If that's the case, I would offer them about 350 to settle it.

CashNetUSA is operating as a CSO (Credit Service Organization),

CashNetUSA is operating as a CSO (Credit Service Organization), therefore they are operating legally, you need to contact them and make some type of payment arrangements asap or they WILL sue you.

when i talked to them they were willing to do an epp, they said

when i talked to them they were willing to do an epp, they said if the balance was over 1000 they would do a more extended epp. so call them and see what they will work out. just be firm and tell them what you can and cant do.

I found CashNetUSA to be very easy to deal with and worked out a EPP with them. Their customer service representatives were very nice and very understanding. But then I live in Arizona and they follow the Arizona laws to the tee.

Just be honest with them, and they will work with you.
