I know there have been a lot of topics lately on Cashnet USA in this forum, but I'm hoping that someone can help me with my situation.

Back in 2006 I took out a loan from them, about $200. Cashnet had debited my account several times afterwards, probably to "cover the interest", but they certainly took more than $200 from me during that time.

I kind of got into PDL hell, and ended up closing my bank account. I honestly was under the impression that I had satisfied the remaining balance of the loan via Western Union, as my e-mail records with them have indicated.

I received a phone call from Tyler & Morgan stating that I still owe $235.00. I had received no previous notification of still owing money to them and it has been over 2 years since I sent my last payment via Western Union.

I took the loan out in Pennsylvania, and now reside in Connecticut. Which laws to I follow? PA law or CT law? Are PDL's even legal in CT? I'm still very naiive to the legality of PDL's, and checked out paydayloaninfo.org to get more information, but I still don't understand it. Can someone briefly explain to me (like I'm a 5-year old) what my options may be?

Note: I have not received anything in writing from Tyler & Morgan. When asked for a faxed copy of the letter, they said they would send one last Friday, but I have yet to see it come over the fax.

Thanks, folks! :D

Cash Net USA is a legal company.

PA's laws would be over this transaction, as that was where you were when the loan was taken out. But PA's laws allow internet based companies to use the laws of another state, in this case Nevada.

Do you have the paperwork from the Western Union payments?

I would get their contact info and send them all the info that you do have, you say that you have western union records, do you have an agreement with them saying that if you pay this then your debt is paid in full??

If so you have nothing to worry about, it could be a mistake, but from what I see Cash Net IS a legal company.

So go and see what you can find in regards to this, and wait on that letter, if you want, you should be able to ask them to email it or fax it to you for a faster response.

Hope that helps

Yes, in a box, somewhere. Guess I'll have to dig it out. We just recently relocated, so all of our paperwork and banking info is all put away in file boxes. Should it be enough to send them copies of that information now or should I wait for them to send me a letter (which I may or may not ever receive)?

When I inquired if the woman from Tyler & Morgan could send me some form of statement or history on my payments towards that loan she said she not only can't do it, but won't. She stated that "they're not required to provide that information to me". Any suggestions?
