had a payday loan thru CashnetUSA, couldn't pay the load off and now I have NSF's. Can you get taken to jail for this happening? I've got a company out in New York VCS threatening within 48hrs i am going to jail. They want 606.00 dollars and I think that the original loan was only 250.00. I told them to send documentation when i got the letter it had a totally different name on the letter. I called Cashnet and they told me they never sent my informaiton to any outside agency it's still in house. What do I do??

OK, I know that CashNet will sometimes work with CSO's to offer loans to individuals and that may be were Kenwood services comes in. I just did a search with Kenwood and they seem to come up as being a lender that others have dealt with. So did you get money from both Kenwood and Cashnet or just Cashnet?

The only laws i know are for my state, but im pretty sure that you cannot go to jail unless the check was returned due to a closed account, not non sufficient funds, but i would check your specific states payday loan laws. If you have the copy of the contract you signed when you got it, the info should be on there.
