My "plan" is in action...
Date: Thu, 03/05/2009 - 18:00
I called Cash1 & Money Mart today -- my loan with Money Mart is due tomorrow so I had to go in today and set up & sign the paper for the EPP.Which is $58/ever two weeks and that one will be gone. And with Money Mart I didn't have to pay the first payment until my next payday. Which is NICE!
I also called Cash1 and am going in tomorrow (that one is due on Saturday) they want $75/every 2 weeks and want $75 tomorrow for the first payment. Which has to be ok I just want these started and GONE. Not to mention my vehicle is in the shop which isn't helping with the $$$
CA Check Cashing is already on an EPP and I only have $140 left to pay on that @ the rate of $35/Mo
Which leaves:
Check Into Cash
CA Budget Finance
Ace Check Cashing
My plan is to pay at least 2 of these remaining PDL's off with my tax return, if not all 3. I should be able to file my taxes in the next 2-3 weeks & within about 4-6 weeks they should be gone too and then at that point I'll be in the home stretch with the others that are set up on payment plans! ;-)
I'll continue posting and let everyone know how it's going. But, please chime in with your opinions of my "plan". Or pointers to make it go smoother! I know its going to be rough for the next 2 months, but that's ok I've been through worse. And will not be putting myself into this situation again!
Thanks everyone you have all been wonderful & very helpful!
Thanks! :D

As long as it works for you it should be great..One thing though..Make sure it will be ok before you commit. You can make the payments less if you need to.

What do you mean "make payments less if I need to?" Are you talking specifically of one of the companies I set up EPPs with? Or?
Thanks!

This is just my two cents but if I were you I would work on Ace as soon as possible, they are one of the more agressive lenders.

I would have preferred paying off the ones which are the easiest to settle with. When I come to see that my debts are getting paid off then I get a psychological boost up and feel more energetic to payoff the debts.

I can agree with that guest, paying off debt does feel great and really does encourage one to keep going and getting it all paid off.
My Plan
Well everything went well on Friday -- I went into Cash 1, and set up the EPP. I did NOT have to give me the first payment of $75 they extended it out until my next payday. Which was very helpful!
So, Cash 1 & Money Mart were very easy to set up the EPP with. They both just said that you are only able to do the EPP once per year.
I also paid the other 3 PDL's down by about $20 or so $$$. I'll have to check the exact figures and get back with another post. But, it is starting to look like there is light at the end of the tunnel. Although next payday is going to be SUPER TIGHT! We'll get by!
Thanks again!
I am really glad to hear that. Hang in there. It does get better

Good for you I am happy for you. It really is a great feeling when you see the loans start dwindling away it always gave me the boost I needed to continue and get them done with.
