On Labor day weekend I sent out my letters to the payday people to say no more. Of course, I have been fighting with them, nothing horrible yet. However, one of my letters was to the CASHSPOT.COM. I had used them as few times. Both times I paid in full. I sent them a letter saying a I wanted a refund on my overpayments. I opened a ticket with the BBB of Delaware. Much to my surprise there was a check in my mailbox from American Consumer Credit LLL today for $350.00. I couldnt believe it. I owe it all to the people on this site who supported me and set me straight as to rules, laws etc..........Send those letters, they work !!!!!!

The refund came from 2 previous loans that were already paid off. I didnt even know how much I overpaid. I just sent a letter to the BBB of Delaware and got my refund. The refund was accurate as I paid the loans off within a month or so. My account with them was in good standing for I was always getting calls from them saying my limit was now higher. I am confident the check is good and that there will be no trouble. I did the same for Nationwidecash.com. They say I owe them. I say I overpaid, I will update as the situation progresses. I will fight hard, I do not like the Mitchell character....

OH GOSH!!! "BeCareful," you are SO right! I wouldn't have even thought of the PDL being able to get new account information from the check being deposited; Artn, please cash this somewhere else, do NOT put it in your account! (maybe this advice should be put as a cautionary note on one of the "stickies?" )

Aubrey,

Herere is the letter I sent to the cashspot.com. I had paid 2 loans in full to them. I had no issues with them nor they with me. I just figured I'd send the letter and see what happens. It took about 3 weeks from the 1st letter to receive my check.

To Whom It may Concern,

I have successfully paid off 2 loans I had gotten from your company. I never missed a payment. It has come to my attention that these loans are illegal in the state of New York. The extremely high interest rates I were charged are also illegal. A report has been filed with the New York State Attorney General's office. I would like to have any overpayment I have made to be refunded to me in the form of a cashier's check sent to my address on record. I followed the rules on my end, now I would appreciate you do the same. I would appreciate it if you acted upon this matter as soon as possible.

This is my 3rd message to you. I have yet to receive a reply. Please get in touch me as soon as possible.

I'm proud of you ArtN, you wrote the letter in your own words, it's SO much more effective when you do it that way. Even though you haven't heard from them YET, I'm willing to bet you will eventually, and in your favor. Just keep sending them letters and keeping track of when and how many you send. Time to reverse their role and get on their backs for once, yay for you!
