So, even though I consolidated my pay day loan debt. I got a call from CashSupply and they said that because they are a first party collection company, they won't work with my debt consolidation company. I think that they are just telling me this to scare me, but can anyone tell me the truth? I think that they will accept it. My debt consolidation company says that they have worked with them before. Also, Cash Supply said that they will continue to call me and my references.

A Mrs. Watts from this company just called again, and told me that they don't work with consolidation companies. And, i told her that they have worked with this company before, and you would have to deal with them. I also said that I had sent them a letter stating this, and I was not to be contacted anymore, which they signed for certified mail. She said, well okay, we'll talk to you tommorrow. I'm going to the police station tonight to file harassment charges. Does it matter that this is not a local company?

Good for you! Even though they are the original creditor, they still have to follow the laws! Just because the fdcpa doesn't apply doesn't mean there aren't laws in place that they have to follow.

I think your letter sounds good . . . . The only thing I would change is this part:

Quote:

I revoke any and all authorization I provided to CashSupply to debit or draw checks on any bank account that I may have

I would add after where you say Cash Supply to include any and all DBA's they may have. As stated right now, they could go into your account under a different dba and hit you . . . . You could probably dispute the charge and get your money back, but it may save having to do that.

Most companies will accept payments when it comes down to it . . . . What are they going to do? Send it back and say no I don't want your money if it comes from a debt cons company? They just want to make you think they won't and that you must pay up in full now to avoid "further action" . . . . Total BS!

They also respond to complaints to the BBB. I filed complaints with all govt. agencies. I even contacted New Mexico's AG's office and spoke with a Ms. Gonzalez. Found out through her, while we were on the phone, she did a search, they are not even licensed in New Mexico. This company does respond to BBB complaints and if you still owe them money and they tell you they don't take payment arrangements, they are BS'n you, because they do. And their mailing address isn't in NM, their corporate office is located in Georgia and that is where you send the payments.

Yes. They respond in a quick manner and the BBB will notify you by email when they do. And they settled for the LEGAL amount I actually owed them. They were trying to take me for nearly $1,000 on a $300 loan. They settled for the $150 I legally owed them and they coughed up their corporate address where the payment should go. They did try to say only credit card/bank debits would due. But I stood firm and they accepted money orders, $50/month. And they do come to this site, one of the heads over their gave me their personal cell number just in case I had any problems, and asked that I do not post his personal number and personal email address.

Steelers,
I have filed compliants with the BBB and my state's DFI about Cash Supply, and they have not responded to either. I am getting a new phone #, and working through the consolidation company you referred me to pay them. Is there anything I can do to get them to stop calling? I know that they are going to deny the proposal from the company, but I'm going to keep paying and tell the company to keep sending the payments. Any suggestions? I know that they are a first party collector, and don't have to respond to the fdcpa, but still.

Stick with your plan. But Cash Supply does eventually break down and accept payment plans. When I filed my BBB they did respond and agreed to the lesser amount which is what I legally owed, and the settled with my monthly payment plan, which was mailed to their coorporate offices in Atlanta, GA. So the do break down and work with you to get that payment. If you are getting a new phone number, they shouldn't be able to contact you if it is unpublished. I think it is going to work out for you with this company, just stick to your plan. And it may take time to hear from DFI, it sounds like Cash Supply has yet to respond to your BBB complaint.

So, I ran into a little financial difficulty. no different than anyone else, I took out a loan with Cash supply for 350.00. I thought that I could handle that. Well, I was told that if I didn't make any other arrangements three days before my due date, that the minimum would be deducted from my checking account. This would occur 3 times and in the 4th occurance the remainder that I owed would be taken. I took my loan out on Dec 15th, and this is April 24th. They are still taking money out of my account, which causes me to be over drawn on several different occasions. I have paid them over 1000.00 for a 350.00 advance. Even on other loans that I have extended before have never cost me that much, usually no more than 100 to 150 dollars. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. THEY WILL RIP YOU OFF THE FIRST CHANCE THEY GET. Please learn from my mistake.

Just wondering why you did not change your checking account after the first time they took money out that should have not been taken?

I too have been harrassed, but not until about a month ago from a loan they "say" I did not pay back. I cleared up all of my loans before the end of the year (2008) and they are now saying they are going to go after my criminally as a felony or misdemeanor - she had me so upset I asked if I could pay $50 since I just lost my job and she said she would get fired if she went into her boss with that amount. I almost almost 90% positive I wired money back to them last year to clear this up? Any suggestions of what recourse I have? I have never been arrested in my entire life and am now scared to death!!!
