Newbie here - my husband has a $2500.00 loan in default with Cashcall. It hasn't been sold to Western Sky. We've been caught in the payday trap for a while, but with the help of this forum, we see the light at the end of the tunnel. I had the same loan and they threatened wage garnishment and even went so far as to contact my employer. I'm in the process of paying the settlement on my loan.

We want to save a lump sum and offer a settlement on his. They never called me, they emailed me the threat of wage garnishment to which I responded quickly to. My husband gets calls all the time and they haven't threatened garnishment at all.

He's made 10 payments of $295 on his loan before it went into default.

Any advice?

western sky loans are sold to cashcall, but since you are in california that is the one state they actually lend in so it is legal(unfortunately)question.how much was borrowed?cashcall is a bear when it comes to settlements.
