Alliance Asset "validated" debt

I am in CA and took an Internet loan from Eastside Lenders before I knew they were illegal. I paid $200 on a $400 loan. I defaulted on the loan and it has gone to Alliance Asset. I sent them a debt validation letter and a C&D letter with a copy of the desist and refrain order that was issued to Eastside Lenders by the CA Dept of Corporations. This was sent on 3/18/11. Today, 4/9/11, I received a letter from them that per my request they were substantiating the debt and included a copy of the Internet contract with my electronic signature. What do I do now?

I would say send that letter they sent you to your Ag and also look up the order I believe one of the companies that East Side Lenders uses for their collection has a C&D aswell. File complaints with the FTC, AG and BBB. Send those C&D orders filed by your state government.

Since the loan was illegal it can not be validated. You can send the copy back stating that due to CA laws the contract they purchased was never valid. Mention that you have sent their correspondence as well or Eastsides information to the state AG and then do that.

exactly right.the copy of the contract means nothing as there is

exactly right.the copy of the contract means nothing as there is no actual signature.an eletronic signature doesn't count.file AG,and FTC complaints against alliance assett asap.bottomline alliance is a bottomfeeder that validated nothing.that is the key word here validated.

I filed a complaitn with AG office in Michigan and received a letter back from Alliance Assett saying they will no longer be collecting for eastside and said they would send it back to them ( the debt they say I owe) which is way more than I borrowed so file a complaint they will back down

Is there a form letter somewhere that I can use to notify Alliance Asset that the debt was not properly validated? All they enclosed was a copy of the online contract; they did not include any of the other requests that are on the form letter on this website for debt validation.
