I have about 6 payday loans with internet lenders totally about $3000. I have decided to use Langhorne and closed my account so no more fees could come out. I have read good and bad things about Langhorne and now I'm scared that I am throwing my money away. Am I doing the right thing? How can I find a copy of a cease letter for the lenders to not call me or should I just let Langhorne deal with them? Thanks for your help

Hi there Hopemich and welcome to the forum! I'm really not sure about Langhorne since I've never used them, but perhaps there is someone else who can give you some insight. Have you ever thought about dealing with these financial obligations yourself? It takes a lot of work and persistence, but it may be worth it. There's a lot of good information and good people here who would be willing to walk you through it, of course that would be up to you. :)

Thanks everyone for your help...i started getting calls today and emails. They are even calling my references telling them i owe money. Payday max even said i was facing legal action. What a mess!!!! I live in Virginia..

Cashback $700 Paid $750
PayDayMax $300 Paid $360
CashAdvanceNetwork $400 Paid $490
Paychecktoday $300 Paid $180
Americashadvance $1000 Paid $1000
Quickest Cash Advance $300 Paid $360

This has been a nightmare. I just haven't figured out how to get them to refund me or file complaints against them if they are not legal. Thanks again for your help...I'm at my wit's end

Sorry, this is HopeBranBlake but can't get logged in at the moment. Thanks for your help. I did speak with the Virginia Bureau of Financial Institutions today and there are no online payday loan lenders licensed in the state of Virginia. I even had one call work today to tell me if the payment arrangements were not made tomorrow they were turning it over to a collection agency and reporting it to the credit bureaus. I thought they couldn't report them. I even looked at their website and they don't even loan to people in Virginia anymore.

hope, if they want to turn you over to a collection agency for an illegal pdl, let them. Once you get turned over, send the collection agency a debt validation letter. Very slim chance of them properly validating an illegal debt. If it does actually hit your credit reports, you can dispute it with the credit bureaus and have it deleted off your reports.
