pay day loan harrassement

I have been getting harrassing phone calls from a company called "Central Investigation & Litigation Dept. They are threatening to call my ex-manager and my previous employer to get me in trouble. they claim I owe $589, originally a $300 pay day loan. I review my bank statements going back 16 months and can't locate any deposit transaction for that amount of money. they gave a time limit of one day. How can I resolve this? they also cannot give me the name of the payday loan company.

First, this is a public forum so, please don't post personal info like phone numbers. Regarding "Central Investigation & Litigation Dept", I'm sure this is a scam. They're using scare tactics to make you pay them.
The best you can do is ask your service provider to block the number. You can also file a case against them with your local police regarding the threats over the phone.
