After all that, this woman said she was going to forget about the investigation. She also said based on everything I told her she was going to have her legal advisor contact me because I am absolutely correct in everything I said and my rights have been violated. So.... we'll see what happens from here.
Has anyone else ever experienced this?

Hi!
Welcome to forums!
Wait for a few days to know whether they really stick to the words. Yes, legally you can take against them as they have violated FDCPA laws. If they again call at your workplace, then this time you should take legal action against them. You may get some helpful information about them from the following page:

Any collection agency who threatens that they are coming to your place of employment to serve you, or uses the words "fraud," "investigators," etc., is LYING! They won't honor your requests. File complaints with your AG and the FTC. Legal action is highly unlikey on your end as well, since they probably aren't even in this country. I would send a C&D letter to GH&W. Send it certified and with a return receipt requested. I would state in your letter that, since they have been unable to validate the alleged debt they are trying to collect, you demand they cease and desist all contact with you and any further collection efforts. Explain to them that if they fail to honor the C&D, you will seek legal action against them.
