PayDayLoan/Tribal Lender Help

I am new to the community and I have questions regarding my situation. I have read through many of the threads and I am very confused as of what I should do.
I live in the state of NC and I now know that pay day loans are prohibited. I currently have several pay day loans that I am in a position to pay off in full. When I contacted the companies, the amounts were way more than what the principle balance was which I didnt budget for. I would like to pay them off as soon as possible. I have already closed my bank account and opened a new one that they do not have access to. The details of the loans are as follows:
***** Plain Green Loans Principle $800 obtained on 11/8/2012. I have made total payments of $602.45 all have apparently when to interest. My balance as of today is $950.37 which includes (1) NSF of $30 since I closed the account. This company is a triball lender owned by the Chippewa Cree Tribe of the Rocky Boy's Indian Reservation, Montana
***** Great Plains Lending Principle $800 obtained on 10/9/2012. I have made total payments of $955.29 all have apparently when to interest as well. My balance as of today is $926.83 which includes (1) NSF of $30 since I closed the account.This company is a tribal lender owned by owned by the Otoe-Missouria Tribe of Indians.
***** PayDayMax Principle $290 obtained on 12/4/2012. I have made total payments of $115.10 as an "extension fee" My balance as of today to pay off is $422.15. This company is based out of Canada.
***** United Cash Loans Principle $800 obtained on 11/5/2012. I have made total payments of $480.00 as an "service charges" My balance as of today to pay off is $1040.00 This company is a tribal lender owned the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma.
***** USFastCash Principle $750 obtained on 11/27/2012. I have made total payments of $450.00 as an "service charges" My balance as of today to pay off is $975.00 This company is a tribal lender owned the Miami Tribe of Oklahoma as well.
I am concerned with Plain Green and Great Plains because they market themselves as installment loans. The others a payday loans. I have no problem paying principle balances I just want to know what I owe and how to go about getting them satisfied without all of the astronomical fees because they charge daily interest. Any help anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Did you close your bank account?
Make sure your bank account is closed before you sent the letters, you don't want them to try and charge your account right away.

I just sent sent letters to all. I am hoping that everything works out and they will accept them that way as well. How long did it take for you to get a response?
I had loans with Great Plains
I had loans with Great Plains and Plain Green. I sent the letter about them being illegal in my state and I have had responses from both of them that they will accept the payments I made so far as payment in full. I have overpaid them so now I'm trying to get that back! Doubt it will happen but it can't hurt to try!! Good Luck!!!!

Hey Dawn. I am in NC and new to these forums as well. They are amazing! I also have loans with PG and Great Plains. Both of them are 100% illegal as are all Tribal loaners in our state. Our state has strict laws against PDL companies are ALL are ILLEGAL!!! I too,have to just closed my bank account and have written letters to the PDL companies I have(PG, great plains, Bayside, and Advance Me Today), i used the template from Ohiogirl. I have paid all these companies well more than I owe them and have asked for a refund
