Just a thought to CYA with your bank.....

I am in the process now of closing my account with Chase. Then will be sending out all my letters to the "demons" at the end of the week. Because I know Chase is one of those banks who will actually leave an acct open, even when there is no money in it, for 30 days and THEN deactivate it (or reopen it when it's closed for an ACH transaction) - I am giving THEM a letter (in addition to copies of the ltrs to the loan comp, copies of the complaints with the BBB, FTC, etc) the letter I am giving them indicates I want an ACH block on our acct & that if they choose to let any ACH debits be paid on the account past the date of xx/xx/xxxx, they are doing so at their own risk & should not expect and will not receive repayment from us for the debits or any fees they may cause. I am going to sign it & also have the bank representative who I deliver the letter to sign it as well as proof that they have received it. Just a thought to cover my butt in case they pay something presented after I close the acct and then want to charge me for it along with nsf fees, etc.:p
