I just got a call at work from someone who had an accent asking for me. It showed up on the caller id as Florida but no number. I told them I didn't work there anymore as I suspect they are scam artists because they sound just like the scam artists I have dealt with in the past threatening me for PDL I supposedly defaulted on but didn't.
I also noticed on my cell phone that I have been getting called from 000-000-00. I never answer it as I know its a spoofed call and they never leave messages.
I guess someone is out there selling my personal information again. So tired of these scam artists. In the past few weeks, I have gotten numerous e-mails and letters from my cable company, the store Michaels, Chase Credit Cards, and several others stating that they have had a security breach of their clients personal information. Its ridiculous that this keeps happening. Glad I changed my checking account today and will be closing my old one as I have what I believe to be 8 unlicensed payday loan providers giving me loans in my state. I have already talked to the Complaints department at our State banking regulations office. She is suppose to call me back and hopefully discuss the steps I need to take and whether these loans are illegal or legal under Alabama Laws. My bet is everyone of them is illegal. Two of them are from out of the coutry one is from Costa RIca and the other is from the Bahamas.
Once I get out of the PDL mess I will not do pdl's again. I will pay them their principal but if I have already paid their principal through fees then they are not getting another penny from me. Once I talk to the person at the compaints department I plan to send out the revocation e-mail that was in an earlier message of this forum.
