I live in Kentucky, and I have 3 pdls outstanding at this point. 2 of them are with Checksmart, one in KY and the other in OH. The 3rd one is with netcashusa or cashnetusa and the principle on that one is $250 and I havent paid anything on it yet. I am trying to get them all taken care of and never do it again because I cant keep going with most of my paychecks each month eaten up by the fees on what I consider to be one of the stupidest moves I have ever made. I am going to be closing my bank account with Fifth Third, I already have a new checking account opened so I dont have to rush to do that but I was considering just letting the checks hit Fifth Third and then just paying Fifth Third off as fast as I can. The only issue I may have is getting my Direct Deposit switched over fast enough. I would appreciate any feedback.

With my job I can also yell at people so thats a good way to vent too at times lol. I will definitely keep you guys informed with whats going on with each one. I figure the 2 storefront ones will be the easiest to resolve while the 2 ipdls will probably be the hardest and I think the quickest cash/MTE will be the most problematic just from what I have read about them on here.

That sounds like an interesting job...I find the shredder particularly theraputic. I draw stick figures on the papers I need to shred write names underneath and run them through..And I have a confetti shredder..millions of little pieces...I just read that and it almost sounds scary  But you will be ok..you have accomplished quite a bit and as a bonus you have all the people who have been talking to you to fall back on if you need them.

Ok. Heres my little update from what I have been upto today: I went and paid off both Checksmart Loans, and let me tell you when I paid the one in KY off and they asked if I was going to reloan it felt GREAT to say no I wasnt, and then the girl was like can you bring a new bank statement in the next time you come back and again it felt GREAT to say that I wouldnt be back. The one in OH I just went in and paid and that was that. I called Netcashusa and that is being paid in full on Friday. Quickest-cash-advance/MTE gave me a little bit of a fit about paying the loan off in full before October 15th when it was due and they want me to fax them a letter stating that I wish to pay my loan off in full, so hopefully once I get that taken care of I shouldnt have any more problems. (hopefully) I can't believe how good it feels to have gotten everything either set up to get paid or paid off. Next step after this is tackling the collection agencies and getting statements from them breaking down what I owe on those

blue, and you thought everything was dark and depressing, didn't you? Now the clouds have parted and the sun is shining down on you again! Yes, Kentucky LIKES for you to re-write! LOL! I know you felt "the power" paying those store fronts off and walking out without owing a dime! That is too awesome! And, MTE, of course is going to throw a fit because they're going to "miss out" on getting lots of illegal fees. Fax over the information & get that dollar amount to pay them in full & MAKE SURE you get it in writing from them that you are PIF. You are doing so great. I know you're feeling good. Things are good, aren't they? :D

Heck I thought it was going to cost me like $1200 to pay 1st bank of DE off and it only cost me $700. The lady told me that and I did a happy dance around the living room. Once I figure out how I want to word the letter to MTE I am going to put a statement in there that I would like something in writing showing that I am PIF. The only one that got kinda nasty with me about paying my loan off was Netcashusa.

God Forbid you pay your loans in full. My gosh! It just goes to show that these companies THRIVE on all the fees they charge. So, you want to pif and they have a baby tantrum. Unbelieveable.

Hey Blue...do you have an address for First Bank of DE? I've been trying to figure out where they are located...I actually have 2 installment loans with them. One with thinkcash & the other I have no idea through. One is for 2500.00 & the other for 750.00. My bank account will be closing on Thursday & since these are installment loans I know I will have to pay them. I'd rather notify them rather than have something returned to them saying that account is closed. Thanks Lisa

I love how the same collection agency can have very different attitudes when it comes to things. According to my credit report I have 2 accounts with midland credit management in 2 different offices and one the lady was pretty nice and very helpful and on the other the guy was a complete and utter a** and was like I can't mail you a statement showing a balance I can only fax it and seeing how I dont have a fax that doesn't work for me. I told him that I called in to see about getting this resolved and if I can't get a statement in the mail showing the balance then I will cease trying to work with them. He got all huffy and was like fine you will have a final statement that you should receive within the next 10 days. Oh the joys of the collection agencies. I think I need to file a complaint. To bad the guy wouldn't give me his name.

blue, are you doing all your "negotiations" via telephone with these CA's and pdl's? If so, try to use email instead. You need documentation of all these things these people are saying to you and show how they are not cooperating with you.

i have only had one thats been a major problem and i am going to call back tomorrow and see if i can get the name of the guy that i talked to tonight. And I am supposed to be getting statements in the mail and then I am going from there. Because all I really called for today was to get statements in the mail so I know what exactly I supposedly owe.

Blue! Crap! Letter being pm'd right now. If too harsh, make any necessary changes to fit your specific needs, as this is a unique case. If you have any questions at all, pm me.

I just got an email from MTE/Quickestcash adavance stating that once my payment processes that my account will be paid in full. So hopefully this is all paid off for me within the next couple days. Getting the 2 internet ones PIF and letters stating it is probably the best early birthday present I could ask for at this point.

blue, I don't know if you realize this, but getting cooperation from any MTE d/b/a or themselves is a huge accomplishment! You go, girl! You are doing awesome! :D So, when's your birthday so we can celebrate?

Ok..crisis averted lol...The email that MTE sent me was very brief and said:
I will manually set up your account to debit the full balance of $390.00 for tomorrow, 9/25 as that is the earliest that I can set up a pay off. As long as that debit clears your account, your loan will considered "Paid in Full".

Regards,
Customer Support

I have the exact amount in the account they are debiting out of and the rest of my cash in another account..And then I am just going to have to keep watching that account to see if they try and hit it again at all. If they do its going to be on again from there.

Good, blue. Only keep that amount (maybe an extra buck or two) in that account. Is this the only reason it is still open? Are you going to close it after MTE gets their payment?

I am working on my mother still. I got her to let me move the rest of the money to another account that cant be pulled from at this point. I am trying to get her to agree to opening another account. She wants to keep the one at 5/3 so that she can access it if needed which thats fine but I want to open a new account there then.

Oh, okay. Forgot about mom wanting to keep that one open. I don't know why, but as long as there isn't any money in there that these guys can get, it should be okay. If she's so "into" this bank, I guess you could always try to just open another account at this bank. But, if you guys decide to do this, get it in writing from the bank that the "old" account and the "new" account will not be linked. In other words, if something hits your new account, they will not touch your new account. Your mom REALLY needs to realize that the best thing is to close the account totally out and move on. But that's a whole different story there!

Lol thats true. I am working on her about a new account. 5/3 is the one of the only banks where there are branches down here and up in michigan and there are no issues accessing the account either place. I used to have an account at National City a few years ago and when I was briefly living in Chicago it was always such a pain in the a** to try and get money or deposit money in Chicago because the account had been opening in Indiana.

blue, gotcha now. I'm a little slow here. LOL! 5/3 is everywhere! So I can see why she wants to stick with 5/3. Actually, depending on the branch manager, you should be able to get them to close that account (so you're safe from anyone and no bank fees will accumulate on it)and open a new account. Yes, you'll still be at 5/3, so your mom will be happy, but get a different account. And, like I said, have them assure you (in writing if possible) that the two accounts will not be linked. I've dealt with 5/3. I've found if you hound them enough (and I am a big hound) they will do what they can for you. Now, I had to fight with them at one point, but it did work out. And the branch manager knows my voice over the phone without me even telling her my name (told you I was a hound!). But she really worked with me to get everything straight. Maybe because she was tired of seeing my face standing at the door every morning at 9:00am when they opened the doors. LOL!

I just figured I would give a quick update since I havent been on here too much lately. So far Quickest Cash Advance (MTE) and Zip Cash have been quiet since I paid them off and so far havent tried to hit my bank account again. In the mean time I have also paid off 2 credit cards that were in collections as well as an old cell phone bill, so things are looking up.
