Hi,
I am a 21 year old college student who is living on my own. I can not believe that I got myself in this hell when I was warned about it by my own mother!!! Well, I guess I was enjoying the independent lifestyle, partying and drinking, and using my credit cards. When that got maxed out and I needed fast cash what did I do? I went right to my local payday loan place and took out a loan, vowing that I would never become one of those people who frequent, besides "I'll only take out what I can pay back", was what I told myself. 6 months later, I am still stuck in this payday loan hell.I have definitely learned my lesson, Ive cried and prayed about it and am searching for some relief. I know how irresponsible my actions were and really regret them.
Im working to pay these loans off, I have 3 jobs!!! One full time and 2 part time. The major problem is getting paid and having to take out payday loans cover my rent and other expenses. Here is what Im looking at today.

---ADVANCE PAY USA $345 due on 12/21/07
--- MONEY MART $481 due on 12/21/07
--- I owe AMERICA EXCHANGE $345 which will be assessed fees because the check I wrote it for the account is now closed.

I know that I could pay off the first 2 on my next payday, but I am worried about what Im going to do about AMERICA EXCHANGE because I do not have the $345 to pay them. I DONT WANT TO TAKE OUT ANOTHER PAYDAY LOAN. Im just waiting on them to tell me that my check was returned. PLEASE give me some advice, this is really stressing me out and effecting my school work because Ive been working so much trying to manage regular bills and payday loans. Also I enrolled in TCA and am looking forward to some relief as far as credit cards but if only I could do the same for these payday loans!!! I APPRECIATE ALL who has read this long entry.

tara said she "went right to her local payday loan place and took out a loan". Can we safely assume these would all be storefront?

Also, regarding America Exchange, she is referring to her "check" having fees assessed because the account is closed. I'm assuming storefronts here.

Sorry Cannr, I did not even see that last night.

Its been a long 3 days for me and not much sleep. I just never heard of these names and wasn't sure. But after re-reading it, it does sound like store fronts.

Sorry I can't help you too much Tara. Best advice I can give is tell the store your situation. They may be able to help you with setting up payments.

One thing is Advance Pay USA is a CFSA Member. This mean if you show up to the store the day before its due, they are to break the payments into 4 without any other fees added.

ryan, do not apologize! I read posts two or three times to make sure I don't miss anything! tara, ryan has found that Advance Pay USA is a CFSA member. You can go in and invoke the EPP (extended payment plan) if you go to the store BEFORE the due date of the loan. They will then have you sign an amendment to your loan documents showing 4 equal payments coinciding with your paydates until the loan is paid off. No collection activity/no added fees once on the EPP. If you can do this with the Advance Pay USA loan (which is $345), then could you go ahead and pay the America Exchange one instead (since it's also $345)? You stated you could pay two off on your next paydate. Maybe (this is just a suggestion) you could pay the American Exchange one and the Money Mart one and just go into the store for Advance Pay USA and set up payments with them. Just a suggestion. That way the America Exchange one won't have you up all night long worried to death. And the Advance Pay USA one would be paid off in four payments. Then you would be FREE! Just a suggestion for you to think about. :D

my boyfriend got one of these payday loans and payed back the amount in full, yet they still kept charging his bank account bi weekly claiming he still owed them a percentage, he contacted the fraud department of our bank and they took care of it entirely and he hasnt had a problem since. honestly, talk with the fraud department in your bank about these people, they are all scam artists not people trying to help you, they will give you a $300 loan and try to make you pay back $1500!!!

jl, thanks for posting that Money Mart also does the EPP! :D

And, ElizabethAnne - are you talking about storefronts? Or are you talking about internet loans?
