2 states?

Here's the deal: we moved from Arizona to Illinois. 3 of those loans are with a bank account in AZ that we never use anymore but just didn't close. Since we had used the lenders before, we just pressed one button to apply and didn't update anything. The mycashnow one, though, is in ILL and connected to our everyday account. Problem is we filed BK 2 years ago and had a hard time opening a bank account and so I'm not sure if we can close this IL one. He already talked to mycashnow though and they told him to send a voided check if we wanted to move the bank to the other one.
So, as with the rest of you, we cannot pay these...we got the first one to help with an emergency and the rest are just to "rob peter to pay paul". I've gathered that first thing is to close the az account. I have several questions...which state's laws govern us? And we've talked to PDL Assistance and the Oak View Law group on this site today, their fees are fairly similar but after reading everything here, I am thinking maybe we can do this ourselves. But, after all of these loans go delinquent, how quickly do they work with you?? For example, i think we can pay $200 a month (and not kill us) and that is right around what the companies would charge us...so do we tell them up front on their first contact with us what we are going to do? If that was the case, one of them wouldn't be getting paid until the summer, but we'll pay the whole thing, they don't need to settle it down (just the principle, I mean). I'm not sure if we have enough spine to handle all the calls, but if I am well armed, I think I may be able to do it. From what I gathered, they are both legal states, but have different terms and limits for them and we may be in trouble for not updating our info....help please?!

I should have added that we've only paid $88 on the mycashnow loan (next ext is the 11th) and nothing yet on the others...first extension is coming up next week. I have been on this site for hours and i've read that some people have said that pdl assistance won't help with the one's you haven't paid, but if we close that acct they will be defaulted. Also, the mycashnow loan is with our "normal" bank...and I've been reading how difficult they are. If we could get refunds on all the loans we've had with them in the past we could pay all of these off and then some! lol And, I also wanted to clarify, we lived in ILL when we got these loans (this time) but did not update the information from AZ, from which we always paid multiple extensions and then paid them in full with no questions.
I'm wondering if a lack of a reply is because no one knows about the 2 state delimma?? I think this site has convinced me that I can do it alone, but how do you decide which to pay first? Since we haven't started paying them, we do owe them, but how do you determine which to pay off first, as it will only be one at a time that we can do.
And, I got logged out since i've been on so long...sorry to be unregistered!

I'd agree that the two state situation has certainly made things complicated. Hopefully you would soon hear from our experts.
However, since you have taken these loans while staying in IL, IMO the Illinois laws would prevail in dealing with the lenders. Let us just wait for others' feedback.
Please clarify whether these loans are storefront or internet?

Thanks. I honestly do not see them doing anything further than calling you and your references. If they wanted to be really tough, they could claim that you fraudulantly entered into the loans. Call them make arrangements to pay and you should be fine. I would not plan on getting out of any fees for 3 of them as they are legal lenders. With mycashnow, I am not sure of thier status, but someone will be along with more info on them.
