Payday Loans!! Needing help
Date: Thu, 04/11/2013 - 14:48
I was in a huge financial bind back in October of 2012, We took out a payday loan from Best choice 123 and have been paying on this loan since. The original loan was for 650 and we have paid 190 bi weekly since. I just checked the balance and the amount is still 620 that is owed. I have read a few other forums about this and Can not find if this pay day loan is legal in the State of Utah. Where can I find this information at. I know the state of Utah the PDL has to be licensed in this state. Also I have a loan from Great Plains Lending and that one I pay about 310 a month on and it is the same situation, how to I find if they are licensed in the state of Utah?
Looking for what ever help we can get since this is ruining us financially.

Both of these are illegal
Both of these are illegal lenders. I know Great Plains is tribal, not sure about Best Choice but they seem to be tribal as well. You are morally obligated to pay the original principal only, no other fees or interest. You've most likely overpaid already and should ask for a refund.
Look for the sticky above that references Dealing with Illegal lenders and follow all the steps. Good luck!
