This is actually my second post regarding this issue. The first was to ask if anyone has heard of the collection agency "Check Again".... long story short Mypaydayloan.com reported me to a collection agency who reported me to Checkscan so until I can get this crap cleared up I can not write a check anywhere that uses CheckScan I will have to use my debit card everywhere. Has anyone else been successful in getting this kind of issue diputed?

PDL's can't report you to telecheck, but they do report to Teletrack. It's no biggy though, because it will only stop you from taking out more payday loans.

As far as not writing checks, what is the big deal? The only "benefit" I see to writing a check at a grocery store or such is the float time, which is not something that you should be playing with. It will bite you in the end. Just use your debit card.

Actaully goudah, float time is really becoming a thing of the past. Many insitutions put the checks through electronically and many go sailing right through the same day that they are written. I either use my Amex or my debit card from the bank, depending where my money is at the moment!

Good question Shazz. I would think it would apply to checks that they "run" through the system to see if it is good, like when you are standing in line at Kmart or something. I don't think the billing department of doctor's and whatnot do that. . . .but then again. . . I have been wrong once or twice in my life. . .oh wait. . . I had 5 PDLs, so it must be 5 times in my life! Honestly, I don't know, it's just a thought.

No, it wouldn't affect checks like you mention.

It would only affect writing checks at retail places.

I know float time is becoming a things of the past, most places use check 21 now. That's why I'm saying it's no big deal to not be able to write a check to a retailer, just use your debit card. There's really no difference.

I agree Goudah, but there are times that I know I'm getting my direct deposit in the bank on Friday morning so on Thursday night I will go to the grocery. I guess I can't do that anymore. Also I don't think it will affect my husband writing a check because it didn't kick my check out until they asked for id and they had to input my drivers license info. These PDLs don't have his info. I am trying to clear up some junk and now this may affect my credit futher.. It ticks me off more than anything that I paid so much for this loan and I am still paying in some form....

goudah. . .no big deal is right. I don't think I even have a check in my possession. If I do need to get a large sum of money from my account, I just ask the bank for a counter check and they give it to me right away. I think eventually, checks will become obsolete as well. I know that I pay all my bills through my bill payer at the bank, so I just check who and what amount and presto, my bills are paid. Won't that put a kink in the PDL works, if checks EVER become outdated! Once revokes are issued they will have no way to get their money.

We closed our checking account and opened a new one. We are dealing with 4 internet PDL's and one storefront. We can't to the EPP at the storefront yet and I'm worried having now defaulted on the Internet PDL's that when we go to reborrow at the storefront it won't go through. The payoff is our entire income for the next 2 weeks. I don't think it will be a problem today, because the Internet PDL's just tried to debit today.
