CheckSmart Corporate collections

CheckSmart is calling me 3+ times a day. Sometimes it's their predictive dialer "All agents are busy, please hold" and sometimes it hangs up on me and they continue to call. I tell them I don't have, nor will have the full amount, but they call my mobile all day long. I filed a complaint with the FTC and the Ohio Attorney General about this excessive collections calling by their corporate office. Any suggestions on how I can get them to stop calling me multiple times a day for the same reason? I can't pay them off immediately and I didn't know in time to set up a EPP, which I couldn't have sustained anyhow.

So far today, they have called my work phone 3x. I requested they remove my work number, because I can't receive personal calls. Two agents said they would and then I received the 3rd call. I forgot my mobile phone at home this morning.. and I told them this. Is there any way to stop so many calls, or from calling my work phone?

Have you told them NOT to call you at work because you are NOT permitted to receive such phone calls? If you have and they continued to call, file a complaint against them with your state regulator.

After I spoke with the 4th agent, they stopped calling my work number. They called my mobile number 8 times in one day. I have filed a complaint with the FTC and The Ohio Attorney General. I have them on my block list now, but make sure to call at least once a day so they can't say they couldn't contact me.

If they call you even once more, file a case with the Deputy Superintendent for Consumer Finance, Ohio Division of Financial Institutions. He is your states' regulator as stated by Shazzers.
