Plain Green PDL

stand your ground
This is a common response for these lenders. The fact is that you are governed by the laws in your state.
What state are you living in?
I would suggest continuing to push them and pay the principle amount only with a PIF letter. I wouldn't expect a settlement on the first attempt.
If they are hiding under a tribal community then there isn't much either one of you can do to the other. The best outome is for them to get the principle back and for you to get a PIF letter.
Good luck.
Plain Green PDL
What exactly is that type of letter and where do I get that ?? I am knew to this and not real sure what to do ??
just do this
since no internet pdl is legal in KY just keep re-sending your original letter, and keep sending until this bogus tribal loan gets the message.
Plain Green PDL
if I continue to send them the letters do you think I should file all the complaints and also should I try to work out a repayment plan on the principal ?? Or should I just hang tight and see if they offer me anything ??
file,file,file
yes file all the complaints you can.AG,AND FTC in particular.also until they acknowledge you only owe the principle, and you don't owe the inflated amount they claim.don't even bother at this time with that.
Question
Okay I get a letter in the mail from HBC services it says owe $150.00 the original creditors name is Weston marketing, LLC so i call the number and he says it is a payday loan and I asked him to tell me who Weston Marketing is because I have never heard of it and he says it doesnt matter they have it now. He asked me it I have a habit of writing bad checks and I said no I ask him to give me the payday loans name and he said it doesnt matter again and I told him that I probably have made several payments I needed to know . He would not give me the name and he tried to get my debit number I have already closed my account what do I do?? He is trying to say i wrote a bad check and did not do that.I live in the State of Kentucky.
here is what you do
first file a police report as the idiot broke the law with the call.secondly an ACH debit is not a check so the bad check implication was illegal.then when he calls again inform him you have filed complaints, and a police report and you will not even acknowledge his useless presence until you get something in writing.hang up and ignore the loser once you do all of that.
question
So Do I need to send them a letter to request they tell me who the payday loan is with. i may owe a very small bit of the principle but if they wont tell me the lender I wont know if I need to pay them. What should I do ?? He was very rude. They did send me something in writing but it did not tell me anything about where the account was really from so I do not have any idea of which PDL loan it is or how much I have already paid.
no you send him this
send him a C&D letter.i know he won't give you anything but threats and the loan was illegal in your state, and he broke the law with the bad check threat.do not engage this loser further as he only wants to argue.i wouldn't worry about him.
Could you tell me where to get a sample letter for C & D so I ca
Could you tell me where to get a sample letter for C & D so I can make sure I sent the right thing. Thank you so much for helping me

This crazy place that i called this morning and asked a question they have now called my work twice already in the last 2 hours so will the Cease and Desist sample letter on here be enough for me to send them so they will stop calling me here at work. This stupid place is going to get me in trouble for personal calls.
sorry to hear that
there is a template for a C&D in the DYI section at the top.now yes they must abide by it,but sorry being as they are illegal as LLL they will call.let your boss know this is a fraudulant scam, and you told them not to call you.email the C&D,and infor your boss and co-workers about this.

I am in the midst of trying to settle with 8 PDLs and this is one of them. i MADE arrangements with them last week AFTER I sent them an email with the templates provided. HELP!! they have already called me 10x today on work and home numbers and when I tell them I have already made arrangements and will call the NJ Dept of Banking and report them they just HANG UP AND THEN CALL ME A MINUTE LATER! can anyone tell me the best way to get them to STOP CALLING??

If you have caller I.D. and you see their number, don't answer it. If they call you at work, tell them you cannot have calls at work and then hang up. If you have caller I.D. at work, then don't answer, or pick up the phone and then hang it up. They are relentless. I have a friend who took out a loan with them. Gradually the calls got few and fewer (just several a day).
Thank you to this forum!!
I followed the advice received in these posts, did my research found that Plain Green isn's legal in my state (MN). Sent them the following:
Dear Lender,
It has come to my attention that payday lenders must be licensed by the state of Minnesota in order to offer loans to its residents. Since your company has no license in my state, the loan contract I have with you is not valid. Although I am not legally required to do so, I am willing to repay the principal balance of this loan. To date, I received a deposit of $1200 on and have 16 withdrawals totaling 1,748.12 debited from my account. This results in an overpayment of $548.12.
At this time I am requesting a return email acknowledging that my loan has been paid in full. Also, I would like a refund of the $548.12 overpayment. A refund check of $548.12 should be mailed to me at the address you have on file.
I am also revoking authorization for ACH withdrawals and any wage assignment I may have signed. I have given a copy of these revocations to both my bank and my employer. Any future attempts to collect funds in this manner will be blocked.
Please respond to this email with acknowledgment that my account has been satisfied in full. Details of when I can expect the refund check, as discussed above, should also be included in the email.
I got back a response:
Your correspondence has been directed to me for review.
We are sorry you are not satisfied with your Plain Green Loan. After reviewing your account history, we are willing to consider the account paid in full and will close your account from further activity.
They went on to bable about not being goverened by the laws and what ever and didn't address my request for a refund, but I'm happy to have this money off my back.
Now I've sent this same type of letter to CashCall and United Cash Loan - keeping my fingers crossed that I get a similar response.
Great for you. Hope you will get the same favorable response fr
Great for you. Hope you will get the same favorable response from your other lenders. Keep a copy of their PIF in a safe place in case you need it in the future.

Can I ask you how long it took for you to get a response from Plain Green? I too have sent them a letter like yours and am still waiting for a reply. Wondering as to how long I should wait.

I sent the letter on the 9/5 and they replied on 9/8. So far I have not heard back from United Cash Loan or Star Cash Processing. Cash Call has been calling but I sent them a cease and desist email yesterday so now they are emailing me and assessing late fees.
Best of luck to you.
