Update from Attorney General
Date: Fri, 10/16/2009 - 04:55
I got a letter back from the Attorney General. Apparently Cityview responded.
They actually provided a breakdown of what I was loaned, what I paid and how much "they" feel I how.
I called my contact at the Attorney General's office and read the statutes to him and said. I realize they say I only owe $45.00 but, they violated state law, extensions are now allowed, you can't charge more then a $15.00 fee per hundred, and they loaned more then the state alllowed and they aren't licensed.
I plan on sending all this information in detail back to the Attorney General's. I told the AG that paying $200 a month for a $400 loan is against the law. He seemed to agree.
Will see what happens.
