In December 2008 I took out a loan from City View Cash (owned by PDL VENTURES LLC). They deposited to my bank account and then magically started withdrawing multiple funds about two weeks later. I defaulted the loan and put a stop pay on my account. A few weeks ago I called them and found out they have the loan under someone else's ssn#/name/dob but all the rest of my information is on the account(?) I know the person who's name it's under but it's WRONG information. So I paid $500 on Thursday, sent them two faxes asking the collection agency SECURITYNET LLC to change the information, and three e-mails, plus I called several times. I made payment arrangements for another $275 this Thursday to come out of my bank account, and I SENT A MONEY ORDER FOR $13.34 to cover the remaining balance (mailed yesterday).

The issue is that no matter what I tell Security Check they tell me they can't change the name and that my complaint will take several days to review (this is almost two weeks of this bullcrap). I have asked they remove it from the WRONG PERSON'S ssn# and credit report but Security Check refuses to do it until they 'hear' from the client.

I was told by City View Cash's number that the company that was CityView Cash is no longer in service, they change their names multiple times, and that the people I called can't change any of the information on the account. Security Check LLC keeps telling me they have to review the dispute and threatened me that they were going to mail a copy of the contract to my old address with my banking info on it and someone else's name on it! I told them IN WRITING and verbally not to do this.

At this point, since the loan is going to be paid off this Thursday in full ($788 + $18.95 for their payment fees), what can I do? This is on the wrong person's ssn# and credit report and it's my money that's paying the loan, and my debt. Help! Who can I contact? Security Net won't respond to me in a timely manner, doesn't answer my e-mails, and hasn't responded to the two faxes I paid for and sent explaining they have the wrong information.

I'm really upset and I can't fix this!

I'm sure that experts would soon drop in for your rescue. Meanwhile, I'd suggest that you don't send them a dime till they don't fix the issue of wrong information and also put a strong ACH block in your account to stop them from withdrawing.

Now, if this account isn't appearing in your report you have a very good chance of avoiding paying back the lender.
