well I did what I was instructed to do - opened another acct at a new bank, closed my acct with Chase (which they are jerks! - they said they would close it but if any ACH debits come thru it would reopen the acct and I would be held liable for the money - I told them then what is the point of closing the acct? I provided them with copies of EVERYTHING i sent the payday loan companies & told them, in writing, that if they allowed ANY of those payments to post, I would not be held responsible for repayment & then I would file a complaint with the BBB on them because WHY would they tell a customer that they would close an acct & then reopen it to pay something the customer explicity told them not to allow payment on?) I faxed & emailed all the letters to the payday loan companies and sat back and waited. My direct deposits went to my new acct, the loan companies (3 out of the 4) tried to hit my old acct - showed a negative $285 on the 1st, then the very next day - they had been reversed & my acct was no longer visible on the CHASE site (even though I could still login to the system and could still see my debit rewards/points) CHASE even told me if i opened a new acct with them they would just switch the debits to the new acct - I asked them how is that legal? & please provide it to me in writing - needless to say they wouldn't!!! The 4th one, Magnum Cash Advance, just sent me an email stating I was wrong, I was at fault - HOWEVER we have marked your account paid in full and you now have a zero balance and your account is closed. WOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO. I'm definitely printing that one off and keeping it!!! Havent' heard anything from the other 3 and don't really care if I do. They can't get my money & Chase actually finally blocked/closed my acct so I won't be responsible for any fees or anything like that. I'm so glad I did this - if you are contemplating it - DO IT! Pay back what you borrowed but that's it - Magnum refused to give me a refund but I expected that response. Thanks to everyone here who walked me thru this sticky situation.:p

Magnum even mentioned that they "recognized" the template letter that I got off of "debtconsolidationcare.com" - which is funny bc I only used a piece of what I found on here & the rest was my own ranting and raving. They are such morons! So much so that i'm not even going to justify their crappy email with a response!

Many of the Internet illegal lenders frequent this forum, every now and then one of their employees will post here with nonsense. The employees of unlicensed/illegal lenders are easy to spot because NONE of them can spell, nor do they use proper grammar, I love to rebut their comments! lol

I am so happy for you, things are going to work out, you'll see. You are standing up for yourself, wow, that is GREAT!!! I do hope you will stick around the forum and help others with your knowledge, you will be rewarded for posting, each post you make acquires points, and points can be cashed in for $$$$. It's a win/win situation!

Hi Tammy Im new here but you briefly tell me your situation and what you did. I am in pay day hell with 10 pay day loans and feel very depressed and feel like dying. Its a burdeon that Im killing myself with. So if you can give me any advice I would appreciate. I am afraid if I close my accounts that they will start calling my references and I cant bare to have these people druyg into something they cant get out of by being harrassed because of me. Also I have since lost my job after 18 years so now Im unemployed and dont know what they will do with my previous employer.

BPM, you need to follow the advice that Shazz gave you in your other thread. You are going to have to close your account. You're going to have to sit down with your husband and tell him what's happened. It's likely you've overpaid many of these people and may even be able to get a portion of your money refunded. You will be amazed at the relief you will feel once you get this ball rolling.

BPM; please follow Ohiogals' good advice; if you need to, please get some help, you sound very, very troubled - do you have a clergyman, doctor, anyone, you could talk to about your PDL problem and then sit down with them and your husband to work this out? As Ohiogal says, once you start taking charge of the PDL's, you will feel GREAT relief; we've all been there.
