Just wait them out! You will hear from them or a third party collector! Some may work with you others will try harrassment first. There is little they can do! They will sometimes tell you you are under the laws of another state or even another country! You are not!
It takes time, no worries, they will contact you eventually.

In order to file a claim to garnish wages they would actually have to come to IA and physically do it. I can't see them wanting to fly over here from wherever they are for $300. Especially when I am willing to pay them back what they borrowed me and not just stick it to em. So, I guess the best thing to do if they won't work with me at all is not to respond at all?? Thanks |
Just make sure you send them a wage revocation, just in case they snuck it somewhere in your contract. Not much more you can do, you offered the principal amount owed, the next move is theirs, and that will likely be harassing phone calls and emails, just make sure you stand your ground, tell them your state law prevails.

I agree with Shazzers, you'll hear from them, alright! And yes, they'll threaten to come and get you, "download you" (still haven't figured what they mean by that), etc. Tell them your terms and stick to those terms. I had one outfit call me from India and say they would come and get me and see me in a British court of law; I told 'em to come on over, I'd be waiting!

One thing, in your letter you say that you're willing to pay the $200 only if they provide you their license and the address. They aren't going to be able to provide a license. You may want to amend that statement, unless you don't intend to pay them without it.
Agree with Ohiogal, I would eliminate that portion because it's
Agree with Ohiogal, I would eliminate that portion because it's already been established they aren't licensed. :)

I paid $190 on a $300 loan and told them I would pay the other 110 if they sent me the physical address. I went on that site and its saying account not actvive?? The other 3 were as follows: Kingston Financial...loan for $200... have not made payment QLoot...loan for $200 ... not made payment QXLonline...$200 ... not made payment I also sent these companies the same letter saying that I would be willing to pay them back the $200 if they sent me the physical address. I have not yet heard anything from anyone. Can anyone tell me if I did the right thing here and maybe what I should do next? It just makes me nervous and I would like to see if anyone has any further advice on what I should do now. Thanks Jason |
You did the right thing if your over paying any of them. Next with the ones left if you asked for a address and they refuse to supply it don't sweat it. I would though get yourself a recording device and if they start calling ask again for address letting them know you are taping what they say. If your state says they need license there to provide a loan to you over the internet don't sweat it they know it. Although they are going to call you sooner or later with an outrageuos amount you owe. When they do be prepared to record the conversation. And let them know you are doing so like they let you know your call might be recorded.
Seeing most gave you the loan against your state laws if you are right then don't worry about them. Move on.
