Sharing Progress - light at the end of the tunnel

I set up our new bank account last week in preparation for closing the old "existing account" and have been waiting for anything pending/outstanding to balance out so I could finally close it. I had a deposit pending this morning, but even with that, my bank let me remove those funds and I now have a "stop to debit" (or something like that) on the account - basically, deposits can go in, but nothing (and they assure me that really does mean NOTHING) can come out. I would have closed it completely, but our payroll checks are direct deposited into that account. We've taken steps to have them switched over to the new account, but that might take a pay period or two. A teller can manually transfer our paychecks into the new account once they go in until that happens on its own.
I've also sent C&D/ACH Revocation letters to all the loan companies by fax and by e-mail - twice.
I should be all set - right? Am I leaving anything out that I should be doing? Payday is this Friday and I am both excited and nervous to see what my accounts look like on that day.

You are on the right track. I'm sure after Friday, you'll be contacted by many PDL lenders with their BS letter that they are not governed by the PDL laws of your state. Don't listen to them. Best of luck and keep us posted.

You know what, Paul? Don't care! They can call me all they want!! I've learned so much here and won't be intimidated by them. I feel as if I've beaten them at their own game! Naturally, I screen all my calls at home and (they don't know this of course) I'm the one who answers all incoming calls at work AND gets all the mail!!
I feel lighter than I've felt in a long, long time....
But you know Donna, I'm really looking forward to what happens o

I'll definitely be back on Friday to let everyone know how it all ended up.
I jsut caught really caught up in a thread from last year with everyone talking about how they harrass the agencies that end up harrassing them with all their phone calls. OMG was it funny. I almost hope these people DO start calling... it might really be fun!

What happens when they find out they can't get their money depends on the company; some of them will quietly fade away and then... there's others. I don't care, I can keep hanging up as long as they keep calling! ;) But isn't taking that first step just great? It really does feel like a physical load is taken off your shoulders.
