Hi. I have a 2000.00 installment loan that I have paid 1353.74 in two months and the balance is now 2100. I am in Missouri. I have this debited monthly and I just can not afford this payment anymore. They will not work with me, has anyone else worked with them on a repayment plan. They tell me the only way to get a repayment plan is to have the debit bounce. I am scared to stop payment as I can not close my account. Any advice is great! THANKS-SO STRESSED

Payday lending is legal in the State of Missouri. You should contact the Missouri Division of Finance in order to check out whether or not your payday lender has the license to operate in your state. If they don???t have the license to operate in your state, then you will be liable for paying only the principle balance. However, if you find that they are licensed to operate in your state, then you will be liable for paying the principal balance along with interest charges and other fees. In such a situation, you can contact any local debt relief company and check out the option of payday loan consolidation which might help you in getting rid of this payday loan mess.

a) This is an installment loan, NOT a payday loan.

b) CNG is legal in Missouri and every other state that they lend in.

c) Put a debit block on your account and then work with them as they directed.

The thing to remember is that while you may hear the occassional bad story about a legal lender, they will abide by the laws of the state in which they lend unlike illegal, online lenders.
