Hello All,

It has been awhile since i've posted here, but I just had an interesting phone call with a collection agency trying to collect on an illegal pay day loan debt that they claim I have. Following the instructions in this forum, I informed them that I needed their address. They repeatedly asked why so finally i said for a cease and desist letter. They told me they would not provide me with any address and that they will be taking me to court. I told them several times that the loan they are trying to collect on is illegal.

Is the collection agency required by law to provide me with an address? I have never received anything in writing from them. Also, can they take me to court? I know the payday loan was illegal, I live in VA and all online loans are illegal in my state. When I tell them this they say that I will have to go to court out of state. I told them if they didn't provide me with an address I would be contacting the BBB and my attorney general. They replied with some attempt at an insult about my integrity and hung up on me. The collection agency that contacted me is called NCS.

since NCS is a complete bottomfeeder do not talk to them further as the threats of court are just that threats.i would use any info besides the name and file AG,AND FTC complaints againts NCS.then ignore future calls and messages as again a complete bottomfeeder.

Well I just ran to the post office and sent them a C&D letter via certified mail. I managed to track their address down online.
