I have payday loans that are controlling my paycheck so much that I cant pay the expenses that should be paid. I got all of my loans through the internet and presently reside in New York.I want to default on these loans but i dont know the consequences of my action. I really need help and advise on what to do and to expect when I do this.

to cannr and others- I have started receiving messages
on my answering machine asking me to call the internet pdl up and obviously , they have already noticed that the ach did not go through.Do I return their calls or just ignore them? what happens next if I do? I'm starting to send out the letters now and am hoping that everything would work out. I need some guidance from you guys :) .You know, last friday, I was happy that for the first time in months, I had complete control of my paycheck and was able to pay expenses that need to be paid first. I have fallen behind in some of them but it is still a struggle. Thanks for all the help.

Hi Silver!! So glad you checked back in! Get those letters our ASAP but honestly, dont take the calls. The letter will tell them to stop calling...but sometimes it takes a few times of sending or emialing the letter before they "get it".

I am on my 4th PDL Free paycheck and I know the joy you are feeling!!!! :D

silver, as volley posted, try not to take the calls. All they're going to do is argue your head off and make you upset and miserable. Try to do everything via email or USPS. That's it. Period. You want everything they have to say in writing, if at all possible. Let them leave messages. Usually they just hang up. Once they realize they're not going to get you on the phone, they will resort to email. If you get stuck with them on the phone, just tell them you will only communicate via email or USPS for documentation purposes and HANG UP THE PHONE. They may try to call you back, but don't take it. They'll get the hint after a while. They are a little slow!
