I am not sure exactly how things will go, but yesterday I sent 2 emails(using info. from this site) to the loan shop(i have 2 loans with them) I have not had a response, I just pray they don't attempt to debit my account since i have revoked this right from them-it seems like lots of pdl companies ignore that part. I also sent one to united cash loans-these are ones that I know i have paid well over the principle on. I am not sure what to do with the others which i have yet to actually pay back the principle amount. Cashnet usa is one I called and they gave me a courtesy extension until 11/23 which at least gives me more time-i other household bills that have to be paid(already late ont them and i am at the point they have to be taken care of) I have not made it to my bank yet, i did email them yesterday explaining the situation and asking about blocking certain companies from debiting by account-I have not heard back from them yet. I couldn't close the account yet-mainly because it was too late in the week when i finally go the nerve to start all of this to stop my direct deposit. I did open up a new account at another bank online, I just need to stop by drop off my signature card and money to deposit into the account. I am just so scared and this place has been great, I have done a lot of reading on this site and I am very thankful i found it. this is very hard to go through and it is one of those things that no one knows i have gotten myself into, not even my husband so it is sooo hard going through this alone.
TMB....it's great that you have decided to straighten these thin
TMB....it's great that you have decided to straighten these things out....but you are also right that most ipdls will ignore your revokation of the debits. That's why we usually say to take care of your bank account first so that can't hit it after you send out your letters.PLease try to talk to your bank asap.
As for the companies you still owe money too...if they are also internet loans ...send them the same letter but offer to make payments (or payment) on the balance you legally owe. MOst of them will give you a means to do this like Western Union, etc. Please post any other questions you may have...
