I have 2 payday loans with my cash now and discount advance i am having a hard time finding out for sure if they are illegal in the state of texas. If so how much do i legally have to pay back to these people? CPD is on the case and I don't want to go to court but they are saying i owe more than the print out of my accounts i have. also i have already paid most of the princ. balance in fees on one of the accounts.
:o

well neither pdl is legal in any state much less in texas.so you only owe the principle with no interest.also yes anything debited in fees gets deducted from the loan.btw CPD is also an illegal bottomfeeding slime that is in NY and wouldn't have a prayer in court,so they threaten it hoping you will pay because of the scare tactic.go to the sticky in this forum titled DEALING WITH ILLEGAL LENDERS.it will guide you every step of the way.just know that your state of TX is the most if not one of the most consumer friendly states when it comes to pdl's,their legality, and the slime that try to scare people into paying with illegal threats.go to the sticky and follow it.we can advise or answer anything further.
