Crazy Letter from Great Plains
Date: Sun, 10/14/2012 - 06:34
Hi, I had a loan with Great Plains which I found out was illegal in the State of MIssouri. I followed all of the instructions on this website and they stopped all debits and I have a letter from them stating that the loan saying that " my account has been settled in full and my account has been settled.
Yesterday I received a letter from Great Plains reading as follows:
We recentley receivedyour loan aplication from a lead generator on 7.19.2012. At this time we are unable to give further consideration to your credti request. We appreciate your interest in Great Plains Lending Thank you
NOTICE OF ACTION TAKEN AND STATEMENT OF
REASONS. Statement of Credit Denial Termination or Change Great Planis Lending LLc
Date 7.19.2012
My name
My Address
The one mistake was they put MN instead of MO for may address and the zip was wrong.
The thing is I have not applied for another loan from them and have no idea why this was sent to me.
If anyone has received one of these letters or knows what it was about please respond
Thanks

Did you ever "apply" for a loan using one of those sites such as MoneyMutual? I think that is what a lead generator is. Just from the Montel Williams commercial it seems that you put "apply" for a loan through them and they'll send your info to lenders. Maybe that generator still has your info on file and is shopping it around.
