Hi

I just want to thank eveyone for their help on this forum, but I wanted to put my situation out there to see what you think..

Crestwood/Ashland-300-paid 270
Integrity Advance-700-paid nothing yet..this is my 2nd loan with them

I had an unexpected financial situation come up and there was no way I could pay my fees this week 8/13..I called each in advance and asked if they could work with me and both indicated no..

So my next step was close my account, which I did. Now I am recieving nasty calls from Crestwood/Ashland/Pwest One or whatever they call themselves. I asked that they not contact me at work, because this is so embarresing and I can't talk in the workplace. They said that they need something in writing. They are so nasty..So I sent an email today.

Meanwhile I haven't heard from Integrity yet..I am willing to pay my debt I just need better financial term ie smaller payments over time. i won't be able to realistically make a payment until next month and I certaily dont want to take out another cash advance to cover these..

Crestwood sad they would only settle for 390..i was thinking 120 since I have already paid 270. of course on the other I would be willing to pay 867(700+167 finance charge) but I just need to do it over time..I'm not really sure what to do next.. Should I send settlement letters or wait for them to come to me? Ashland is offshore..

Thanks

I don't know why you think you should have to negotiate with any of these companies, they are all illegal in your state as Payday loans are prohibited in the state of N.J. The bottom line is, all you owe them is the principal amount you borrowed, less fees, interest and any payments you have already made. You hold the cards.

I would tell them I will send payments when I can, as much as I can, via the mail with money orders only, so they need to provide an address to send payments, no address means no payments. Then it's up to them, either they accept it and provide a valid address, or they don't accept it and get nothing. They can't sue you because they won't win, they are illegal, they might turn it over to a bottom feeder collection agency that will not be able to collect. So, basically, you hold the cards.

Thank you so much!

I would send it certified, return receipt requested, and make sure you keep a copy of each and EVERY payment sent.
