ok, so my account was overdrawn do to fees. I paid them and told them bank over the phone to close the account. the lady said ok, it will be closed. that was over a week ago, and guess what i get a notice from after i closed the account and they said it doesn't say on here to close the account, i got very upset and asked to talk to a supervisor and she said well, we can't close the account because it's overdrawn. i said it was at zero when i closed it and they said again it didn't say to close it. I'm so upset what can i do to make sure they CLOSE IT for good? thanks, kelly

Van, I am the queen of closed accounts, having closed about 5 in the last few months. Get yourself to the bank,in person to close the account. Speak to the branch manager regarding the NSF fees that have accrued since you requested it to be closed. Do you have the name of the person you spoke to over the phone. The one you told to close it in the first place. Its always a good idea to keep names and dates of calls. The branch manager is the only one who can
reverse the NSF fees.

kelly, my friend! :D Sorry to hear your bank is messing with your head. But, you do need to go into the bank and speak with the branch manager only. Not a teller (learned this the hard way). Go to the bank, do not call "customer service", do not talk to a "teller". Speak only to the branch manager. Explain what has happened. Get the account back to zero, have the branch manager put in writing that the account is CLOSED and will REMAIN closed. Kelly, go tomorrow. Get in there and get this taken care of asap!
