Hi Mb and Party. Can we find out a little more from you? Please let us know who the pdls are, whether they are storefront or internet, how much you borrowed, and how much you have paid back. I will post the state laws for WI and MA and maybe we can go from there.

I see that pdls are prohibited in this state, so am I correct in assuming that all of your pdls are internet?

Also besides the PDL's, you mention "medical & debt". What other kind of debt do you have besides the PDL, Medical? Is it credit cards, non Pay-Day Loans?
ditto
I borrowed all my loans from on line, I am not sure now how many different places I have gotten them from I think a couple are check n cash, check n go, united cash, payday yes, cashnow, I just keep getting sucked in trying to make the payments I think now I owe like $900 every two weeks and can't afford it anymore. But the WI laws don't look promising, huh?

Party , If you can please just take your time , and calculate as best as you can the amount that you have borrowed from each lender, and the amounts paid back to each. Please add fees nad principle to get one total for each lender. After we get these figures , things may not look so beak. Many of us have been where you are now, and there is light at the end of the tunnel

Well, I wouldn't say that they don't look promising...but they aren't too strict. :-( HOWEVER, if you look at a recent bank statement, you should be able to see who you have borrowed from. While there is no limit specified in the state laws, you may be in luck if the companies you borrowed from aren't licensed. In fact, most online pdls aren't. Please take a look and see who exactly you got money from, and please let us know how much you borrowed and how much you have paid, to date. I know it can be overwhelming to actually sit back and take notice of things...at least it was for me...but it is the very first step to getting out of this mess. And remember, no matter how bad it is, there is a light at the end of the tunnel and we can help you. :-)

Mbo, are you using the other thread to get your questions answered? I just want to make sure that I am not repeating what someone else has probably already said. :-)

Well, I can say for certain that the pdls are paid, even though you will probably not get the same response from the companies. But, since they are prohibited in MA and you have paid the principal then I think you are done with them. Have you been advised to close your account and open a new one at a different bank? Also, you might be able to finagle (sp?) refunds from the pdls you have overpaid.

Ummmm ok.
Everyone-mbo has a pdl cease and desist letter, wage revokation and debit revokation.
I will send a note to the mods to have them lock the other thread. Just fyi, since this thread is about PDL's, this may be moved anyhow.

As for the medical bills and credit card debt, the route I would take would be to click on "free consultation" located to the right of your screen and take advantage of the free, no obligation advice that you can receive from an expert in those types of things. This will give you a good start to finding a solution to your longer-term debt issues.
MBO-Excellent you got the letter. File you complaints here:

Mbo, good luck to you! :-) It really seems like you are on the right track to getting your pdls taken care of. I must say that it didn't really take that long to take care of mine and I had quite a few. If only I had found this site a year ago! :-) But, live and learn!
