How long does it take after defaulting on a loan (approx) for the creditor to get the the point of garnishing or getting a judgement against you ? Just defaulted. Need to know what to expect

It depends on your state's collection laws and the company. Every state has laws that say what methods a company has to try before they can resort to a law suit. A law suit is always the last resort. They can only garnish your wages if they get a court order and your state law allows it. My advice is to google your state's collection laws.

Advance America, Check Into Cash and Cash 1, are all members of the CFSA ( Community Financial Services Association of America ), see the link below:
http://www.cfsa.net/MemberList.aspx
That means you are eligible for an extended payment plan, read the link below to read about the EPP:

Think Cash and FBD are not payday lenders, by the way, and they are horrid to deal with, they will harass you night and day if you default on their loan.

I have defaulted on these loans just recently (as of June 1) What should my next step be ?
