So what do I expect next from them. I do want to pay but I went out on disability after I applied for the loan and the collection agency wants the whole payment?

I was reading my payfast loan doc's (Geneva Roth Ventures and/or its affiliated Companies) and it states if you close your bank account before it is paid off that they can go in to any future new accounts at any new bank and withdraw money to pay up this debt? |
This is why it is important to revoke debit autorization to any and all acounts you may have. Did you do this? If not, I would suggest you write the company a letter revoking debit authorization. Also, you said they turned you over to collections? If you have not already done so, make the collection agency validate the debt..If you need a debt validation letter , let me know. This will stop all collection activity and becuase you live in Mass, they will not be able to validate the debt. Then you will have the fdcpa to back you up.

It really doesn't happen very often that a pdl finds your new bank account. To lower the risk, don't ever apply for another pdl with the account.
Also, if by some chance the new account is hit, dispute the transaction immediatly with the bank. They can reverse it.
