I have all of my PDLs (except one storefront) with T & C. I had a loan of $400 in principal w/EZPayDay Cash and I had only paid one extension of $100(fees). T & C never got a response from them when the proposal was sent out but they made 3 payments for me of $20 each. I got a call from CA ADCC who said the account was turned over to them and that I owed $120. T & C has confirmed this balance. I got an e-mail today from EZPayDay stating they have received my payment and to log onto website regarding balance due. I did that and couldn't access the info so I e-mailed them and they said my balance is $580. I asked how that could be since the loan was only for $400? They stated they would make note of the $40 in payments (I've paid $60). Who do I believe? The collection agency who says it's only $120 or the original creditor? Do think they wrote off some of the debt? I don't know what to make of this and I don't know if I need to do anything.

Call T&C and inquire about the status of your account and inform about the CA calling you. Since T&C is making direct payments to EZPayDay cash and getting the balance down, I don't think you would need to deal with the CA. T&C can ask EZPayDay to pull back the file from the CA who has been hired for the collection process.

I did that already. I had T & C call ADCC and they have set up arrangements with them. EZPayDay Cash never responded to T & C regarding balance, arrangements or anything but they continued to send payments. Should I just go with what the collection agency says is owed ($120) as opposed to what EZPayDay Cash says is owed($580)?? I am so confused.

Of course financially it would be great if you could go by the lesser amount...but I would make them validate the loan. How do you know they are not scamming you...in addition I would let T & C work things out to make sure it's on the up and up. I know inmy debt management program..Ameriloan refused to acept our offer but are accepting and crediting the payments sent..
