The Consumer Protection Div. reviewed your complaint against "PDL****" and is forwarding the complaint to them for a response. The complaint was reviewed by the Deputy AG for possible legal action. There do not appear to be any legal violations within our jurisdiction that we can pursue in court. We are however attempting to mediate a resonable resolution to your complaint with "PDL****". In addition you may want to contact a private attorney or small claims court for possible remedies not within our jurisdiction. You will be notified by this office when they respond. We will make every effort to assist you in resolving your complaint.
The 6 I filed on were all ipdls that I felt I overpaid. Any comments, or translations will be appreciated!!

Pretty much they are saying that it's out of their jurisdiction, but that they will try to help you resolve the issue. It's not a totally bad response. They will try to help you, but they aren't going to legally pursue the pdl's . . . . .

:( I wanted them to come out with full guns!!! I don't think any of them will answer even let alone settle...but I might get a pif from 1 of them anyway...maybe...

I do not think all is lost. At least they are going to act as a mediator with these companies. It stinks that they arent going after them but at least they will help.

I'm still waiting on a reply from the NY AG. Can you tell me what state your in? I'm going crazy here today - I have 2 emails and one message from 1800899CASH - all stating I owe different amounts. When in fact I have overpaid them by around $160. I'm just trying to dodge everyone until I hear from the AG.

I am in Indiana. I haven't heard much at all from 4 of my ipdls. I have 2 pif's and 4 in my debtmanagement program because I still owed on the principle. It's the 4 I haven't heard from that worry me!

I am in Ohio and received the exact same response, but it was via e-mail. I really wasn'T expecting much as my PDLs are legal in Ohio. I just did it more of a fact in hoping it will help my chances of these places making arrangements with me a little easier.
disappointed
Hang in there, you guys! This is not a sinking ship! All your AG was saying, morningstarr, is that they can't take "legal" action against the pdl's. That's okay. Whatever. However, they are going to notify the illegal pdl's that they are "looking into" this matter. Once the illegal pdl's get wind that you've got government agencies involved, it might give them a kick in the ass at least! You never know! My AG gives the pdl's 30 days to respond to them. So it may take awhile to even hear anything else from them. Don't fret! And don't get discouraged! A letter from the state AG might frighten (or smarten up) some of these pdl's! At least you know they are sending the pdl's SOMETHING! They're not blowing you off! I'm only hoping for the best. Please don't feel as though "it's over". You may be surprised by the pdl's leaving you alone once they're contacted.
