I received the following letter from CPD...After sending my C&D letter over 2 weeks ago, this is the first i have heard from them. What should I do next?? Send the C&D again and request for a refund? I paid nearly 2000.00 over my principal balance to these people. Any suggestions would be helpful...as would a legit address/e-mail address for them! thanks!!! Here is the letter

That is the standard email form letter they send out. They sent me emails for about 2-3 weeks and then stopped. Everytime I got an email I would send them back the c & d letter. Sometimes I sent it (email) 20 times a day just to fill thier in-box. They called me for while as well. Not bad though usually only once a day sometimes twice. I never answered and would just send another C&D each time. Its been about 3 months now for me since I closed my account and I have'nt heard from them in a month or so.

I will look and see if I can find the email I used.

Thank you both for your suggestions. I faxed my C&D letter again but my e-mails have been returned as undeliverable. I went ahead and also sent a letter that outlined what I loaned from them and what I paid in interest and requested a refund. Can't hurt. I will send another letter giving them 5 days to respond by mail. It is odd---I sent my C&D and have never received a phone call from them. Nothing except for this e-mail and their message on-line states that I have to call them in regard to my account.

This site has been a great tool in dealing with these people. I don't know what I would have done with out your support. AND Shazzers--your kitty is adorable!

I have been e-mailing and faxing my C&D DAILY and today I got another e-mail from Credit Protection Depot...it's funny though. It says that they have been calling me and so far the ONLY correspondence I have received from them is this lettr. Here is what it says:


Your bank returned the debited transactions to repay your loan obligation. Your account is now seriously delinquent. I have made several attempts to contact you both by phone and e-mail, with no response by you. I am attempting to make arrangements to settle this account. I am the last contact you will have with Credit Protection Depot before this account is turned over to an independent outside agency.
I feel I should remind you that your agreement states, you will be responsible for all collection fees, court costs and attorney fees associated with collection of this debt. If the account is turned over to an Outside agency they will charge additional fees over and above the amount you currently owe and will take whatever steps necessary for the total fees due which could possibly include a court appearance for a possible judgment be issued against you for the repayment of this legally binding debt.
I also feel I should tell you this action may not only affect your credit report rating but is also listed on the Tele Track System, which is used by Cash Advance Loan companies, rental companies, and other businesses, in determining whether or not to approve a loan. This could prevent you from even receiving a cash advance loan any where in the U.S. We must require that you render your payment in the amount of $1502.50 via western union quick collect or money gram immediately. This payment reflects your balance as of July 16th 2009.
