Our friend Tracy sent me an email as a preferred customer and offered me a $400 dollar loan with discounted fees?!?
I quickly deleted it but still had a laugh over the preferred customer title - not a road I will ever go down again.

Yes..I am so honored. What would I do without them to bolster my self image. A PDL thinks I am a preferred customer. WoooHooo. I cetainly won't spend my money all in one place...oh wait..I don't need it ..I have that offshore account in Malta, thanks to my dead relative that I never knew exsisted.

Wait, mperez! Where is my email from our friend, Tracy? Should I email Tracy and ask where my $400 is? I feel soooo left out.

But, mperez! These emails were for us personally from our buddy, Tracy! We get a discounted rate for being preferred customers! Gosh, and she/he just signed it "Tracy". Like we're old pals.

Why oh why wont they leave us alone?
I am bombarded every day with e mails about new loans. I still believe they come from companies that want our info(sister companies of those we defaulted on) so they can resume debiting us. I am so paranoid of every one that e mails me wanting to do me a "favor".They make it so easy for people to get stuck in the web of IPDLS. OMG if I knew then what I know now!!!!

STOP ME!!! I got an invitation for "cash overnight". Okay. I deleted it. Today is not the day for me to get these. With all the crap that has hit the fan these past two weeks, I'm actually hesitating for a split moment before hitting "delete". See how easy it is? Desperate people. I'm hitting the desperate point. I am not there yet. I am hitting "delete". Help me! I'm not stupid. I will never do this again. But, boy, when the chips are down, your mind starts playing games with you. Luckily reason takes over. But see how easy it is? That's what started it all. Desperation. And then when it all hits again, the desperation kicks in again. Delete, delete, delete. But my finger hesitates for one split moment. Someone come and chop my fingers off!

 Cannr - DON'T DO IT! You know it just puts a bandaid on the moment but then you end up dying because of internal bleeding. (I know I know pretty deep for this early in the morning)
Seriously, you know you are just being overwhelmed right now. Remember the advice of taking one loan at a time and dealing with it? Why not try prioritizing your problems (i.e. shutoffs, collectors, personal loans) and dealing with them one at a time. I'm not making light of your situation since I still get there myself at times but you can't let this beat you - in the end it won't really matter.
Please know we are here for you and tomorrow will be another day. Who knows you have a fifty fifty chance of it turning out to be a GOOD day! Feeling lucky?

Thanks, mperez. I like the group hug. And, of course, your advice is sound advice. However, when it's all coming at you in one big giant lump, you have a tendancy to want to jump in a hole and hide out. It won't make anything go away. It'll still be there after you climb out of the hole. And, I'll scream for help if I need anyone to cut my fingers off. :(

I need to get a waiver from CashDirect for one of the payments to move to my next payday. But you know what? They wouldn't allow it. Now other loan companies have, but not this one.

The nerve! Already paid $474 on a $400 loan. I gotta get out of this. Grrrrr....

i agree about closing the account, but 474.00 on a 400.00 loan?depending on the state you are in.this loan is finished, and you owe no more.alliance is illegal and can pound sand.

I don't know that I'd say they do no collections. In fact they were actually the biggest pain I had to deal with. GECC left plenty of threatening messages on my voicemail, although I never talked to them in person, I would just ignore them. Then they sent it on to AAM who called me probably 20 times a day.

Guest I am not sure what you are talking about with the indian scammers doing something this week but yes it was gecc calling me. Many others have posted about the rough time GECC has given them as well.

Guest yes they were calling at least 20 times a day seems like one day was 30. Thats one of the ways to know they are illegal -a legit CA would not call that many times in a day.

To the OP not meaning to scare you at all-you can do this yourself just wanted you to know what you could be up against. I agree with PauMergel I would not pay AAM a dime.
