Help Me in dealing with Payday OK
Date: Sat, 11/10/2007 - 14:47
Hi. I've just finished paying off a loan with Payday select, and I'm currently still paying off Payday OK.
PayDay Select Laon
Loan Term: 28 days
Amount Borrowed: $200 3/29/07
Amount Paid: $458.73. 11/08/07
Rolled over: 4 times
According to Florida law, rollovers are illegal, payday loans can't exceed 31 days and the max apr is 360%. Therefore, legally Payday select could only charge me $50 in interest plus a verification fee not exceeding $5, making the total payback amount $255. Since I discovered this information after the fact, do you guys think that I could get a refund of all the money I've over paid them?
Payday OK Loan
Amount Borrowed: $200 2/5/07
Amount Paid: $182.73 5/25/07 Balance was still $160
Loan Increase for $500 5/31/07 Loaned me $340
Amount Paid: $824.51 11/08/2007
So far I've paid Payday ok $1007.24 (182.73 plus 824.51). Because of the loan increase, I'm not sure how much I've over paid them, although I'm quite sure I have. I would like to also fight them and get a refund of the over paid amount as well as have my account considered paid in full. Can you guys help me figure everything out? What do I need to do to take action?

Yes...they both are usually very understanding. Send them a letter or email stating your state laws and telling them what you have paid. Request a refund and a paid in full letter. I have read where some people have recieved refunds from them.
